Jenny Jones Biography

Jenny Jones is the stage name of Janina Stronski, a Canadian-American comedian, television host, and cook (born June 7, 1946). She is well-known for hosting the 12-season run of the tabloid talk show. She is also well known for The Jenny Jones Show season from 1991 to 2003. Jenny Jones Biography and Net worth. 

Life and Career

In Bethlehem, which was then part of the British Mandate of Palestine, Jones was born Janina Stronski. She identified her birthplace when she appeared on “Match Game” in 1981. She relocated to Italy with her family before following them to Canada in 1948. Zosia “Sophie,” a Polish immigrant and dressmaker, and John Stroski, a Polish army officer serving in the British Armed Forces. At the time of Jones’ birth were her parents.

Janny grew up in London, Ontario, in a strict Catholic household. Janny’s parents ran a bridal shop in Canada.

Jones starts her career as a drummer in a rock band. And later, she attempted a career in stand-up comedy during the 1980s. Jonny experiences 

some success with comedy, taking first place in the 1986 Star Search TV talent competition. Before that, she made her first appearances on television as a competitor on The Price Is Right in 1979, when she won $12,955 in cash and gifts (including a sports vehicle and $6,000 cash), Match Game in 1981, where she won $5,500 as Jenny Wilburn, and Press Your Luck in 1985, where she took home $18,706 over the course of three days. The Jenny Jones Show

An American syndicated daytime tabloid talk show Jones hosted was called The Jenny Jones Show. Warner Bros. Television handled distribution, while Telepictures handled production. The program was filmed in the WMAQ-TV studios in Chicago and broadcast from September 1991 until September 2003.

Controversy 

On the March 6, 1995, edition of “Revealing Same Sex Secret Crush,” Scott Amedure, a gay guy, admitted his love for Jonathan Schmitz, a friend. Schmitz laughed during the show; three days after the episode was recorded, he killed Amedure. Later, he was found guilty of second-degree murder and given a 25–50 year prison term.

Women’s health advocate

Jones served Susan G. Komen for the Cure as an honorary chairwoman. The annual Chicago Race for the Cure raises funds and awareness for breast cancer research. Additionally, Jones gave the John H. Stroger Jr. Hospital of Cook County a mobile mammography motor bus. Since 1981, she has undergone six silicone implant surgeries, leaving her with firm, asymmetrical breasts. Later, Jones had her breast implants removed and openly denounced them in a People Magazine cover story. Jones then founded The Image Foundation to provide a resource for women seeking information on implants and assistance with body image problems. Read more. 

Jones’s book Jenny Jones: My Story was released in 1997, and all the money she made from it was donated to breast cancer research.

Philanthropy

To help individuals in need, Jones launched The Jenny Jones Foundation in 2005. The three main areas of attention are women’s health, community improvement, and education. In 2008, Jenny created “Jenny’s Heroes,” a program that donates $2,000,000 of her funds to those who desire to improve their local communities through The Jenny Jones Foundation.

Personal life

Jenney has three websites that she updates regularly: JennyJones.com, JennyCanCook.com, and a YouTube cooking channel. She started JennysHeroes.com, a different website, in 2008 to share the tales of nameless people who made a difference in their communities. Since the website’s introduction, Jones has donated over $1,000,000 to fifty of these persons who are regarded as “heroes.” Jenny Jones inspired the website talk showpiece that included these individuals.

Jones has had three marriages. In 1970, she wed guitarist Al Gambino; the couple split up in 1972. Jones married record industry executive Buz Wilburn in 1973; the couple separated in 1980. A prior union was dissolved. Denis McCallion, a manager of film locations, and she had been together for a considerable amount of time.
