The former prime minister of Pakistan escaped arrest on Sunday when police arrived at his residence in Lahore with arrest warrants for his continuous absence from court hearings in the Toshakhana (state depository) case. Biography of Imran Khan: Imran Khan is a former cricketer-turned-politician who is currently Pakistan’s Prime Minister. As a coalition of three opposition parties, Pakistan Muslim League (N), Pakistan People’s Party (PPP), and Jamat Ulema-Islam (F) has jointly submitted a no-confidence motion against him to the Speaker of the National Assembly, his continuation in the PM office appears uncertain. Furthermore, many of his party members and alliance partners have turned against him. Let us look at Imran Khan’s life during these times of speculation that his government may soon be ousted. In the National Assembly, Imran Khan was defeated by 161 votes in favor of the No-Confidence Motion, which adjourned until. 31st March 2022. According to Pakistan’s Interior Minister Sheikh Rasheed Ahmad, the No-Confidence Motion against Pakistan’s Prime Minister Imran Khan will be discussed in the National Assembly on 31st March 2022 and voted on on on 3rd April 2022.  United Opposition has requested that the election of a new Prime Minister be included in the agenda of the National Assembly debate on the No-Confidence Motion against PM Imran Khan on 31st March 2022.

Family and Birth of Imran Khan

On October 5, 1952, Imran Ahmed Khan Niazi was born into a Pashtun family of Mianwali in Lahore to Ikramullah Khan Niazi and Shaukat Khanum. He is the only son of the couple and has four sisters. In addition to being Pashtun, Imran Khan is part of the Niazi tribe. Haibat Khan Niazi, one of Imran Khan’s ancestors, was Sher Shah Suri’s leading general and governor of Punjab.  In Pakistan’s history, the Burki tribe has produced several successful cricketers, such as Imran Khan’s mother. He also has cousins who are successful cricketers in Pakistan: Javed Burki and Majid Khan. He is also descended from the Sufi warrior poet Pir Roshan.

Educated at Aitchison College and Cathedral School in Lahore and the Royal Grammar School in Worcester, Imran Khan excelled in cricket. His Philosophy, Politics, and Economics studies at Keble College, Oxford, began in 1972.

Cricket Career of Imran Khan

A cricketer since the age of 13, Imran Khan made his first-class debut at 16 in Lahore. Lahore A, B, Greens, and Lahore were his home teams from 1970-71. As an 18-year-old, Imran Khan made his Pakistan National Cricket Team debut against England at Edgbaston in 1971. At Trent Bridge in August 1974, Khan played his first One Day International (ODI) against England.  After graduating from Oxford, he returned to Pakistan in 1976 and started playing for Pakistan National Cricket Team against New Zealand and Australia. His West Indies tour brought him into contact with Tony Greig. The World Series Cricket team signed Imran Khan. He came third in a fast bowling contest at Perth in 1978, bowling at 139.7 km/h, leaving behind Dennis Lillee, Garth Le Roux, and Andy Roberts, while Jeff Thomson and Michael Holding were still ahead of him.

Cricketer Imran Khan: Post-retirement

After he retired from cricket, Imran Khan admitted to scratching the ball and occasionally lifting the seam. In 1996, Khan successfully defended himself against a libel suit by former English captain Ian Botham and batsman Allan Lamb. Khan had called the two cricketers “racist, illiterate, and lacking. Class” and was involved in ball-tampering, according to the claim. Assuming he was misquot, Khan said he was defending himself after admitting 18 years ago that he had tampered with the ball. By a 10–2 majority decision, Imran Khan won the libel case that the judge dubbed a “complete exercise in futility.”
